Overview:
Depart from Kota Kinabalu to Beaufort district on a two-hour drive to the southwest of Sabah. On arrival at jetty, proceed for introductory and safety briefing and refreshment before beginning your river cruise in search for wildlife, especially the endemic proboscis monkey aka long nose monkey along the river. This area is part of the largest Klias wetland sanctuary in Sabah and has recorded a large number of bird species including migratory birds. You will also have the opportunity to see pig tailed and long tailed macaques, the rare silver langur and water buffaloes. The cruise will last till sunset and as you return to the jetty, you will witness a Mother Nature show of fire-flies, lighting up certain trees along the river. After a traditional dinner on the jetty, return to your hotel.
