Visit Sabah’s most popular National Park, the Kinabalu National Park gazetted as a World Heritage Site in
2000. The park covers 754 sq km and is the home to the highest mountain between the Himalayas and Papua New Guinea. Acclaimed to have two thirds of the world’s floras, some of which are endemic to the mountain area only. Look out for the exceptionally rare and beautiful Slipper Orchids. The world’s largest pitcher plant can also be found in Kinabalu Park. Ideal for bird watchers as more than 264 species of birds including migratory birds have been recorded here. Drive past vistas of rice fields and native villages. Participate in the daily jungle walk with a Park Naturalist on guided trails and learn about some of the medicinal plants found along the way.
