Overland drive over the ridges of the mountain range, passing scenic countryside to reach Poring hot spring in Ranau District. Explore the tropical rainforest as you follow one of the many trails that lead up to
the canopy walkway, 42m above the forest floor. This facility was originally made for scientific research until it was opened to the public to experience the breathtaking walk on the canopy. Thereafter proceed to nearby hot springs pool, which is believed to have therapeutic benefits for skin care. While here, you may also visit the nearby Kipungit waterfall, the butterfly farm as well as being on the look out for the biggest flower in the world, the rafflesia. This gigantic parasite flower is known to grow within and outside the park area. After lunch, retrace your journey to Kinabalu Park and explore the mountain forest with our own naturalist guide. Return to Kota Kinabalu in the late afternoon.
We suggest that you bring with you: camera, hat/cap, raincoat, good walking shoes, sun-block lotion and insect
