Day 01 Sandakan / Turtle Island (L/D)
Meet at airport or hotel in Sandakan and transfer to jetty for one hour boat ride to Selingan Island. On arrival, brief on "dos" and "don'ts" before check in to your designated accommodation. After lunch, you are free to explore the surrounding island or just rest in your room to conserve your energy while waiting for turtles to crawl ashore and lay eggs on the island, the highlight of your visit.

Day 02 Turtle Island / Sandakan / Sukau (B/L/D)
After breakfast, return to mainland and transfer to Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre (the world's largest rehabilitation centre). Proceed to mini theatre for 21 min documentary show on the rehabilitation programme before entering the tropical rainforest on a wooden plank walk to view feeding of the orangutans by the Park Rangers. Continue your overland journey to Sukau (110km) passing through oil palm plantations and settlers' villages. After lunch at the lodge, you are free to explore the surrounding lodge before proceeding for two hour river cruise at 1600hrs in search for wildlife including the endemic proboscis monkeys along the Kinabatangan River (the longest river in Sabah). Overnight river lodge.
Day 03 Sukau / Gomantong Cave / Sandakan (B/L)
Breakfast at lodge, check out 0800hrs and retrace your journey to Sandakan via Gomantong Caves. Learn some of the skills adopted by the native people when harvesting the edible and valuable swiflets' nests, which are the raw material for bird's nest soup, a Chinese delicacy. Thereafter continue to Sandakan and begin to visit places of interest including WWII POW's Camp, Buddhist Temple, Sim Sim water village and bustling Central Market among others. Tours end in Sandakan and transfer to airport or hotel
